Get Approved for TEFA
Visit educationfreedom.texas.gov to apply for a Texas Education Freedom Account. Homeschool families receive $2,000 per student per year to spend on approved educational products and services. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

Explore our TEFA-eligible courses to find the right fit for your child’s grade level and interests. We offer 9 courses that are 100% aligned to Texas TEKS standards, plus AP courses endorsed by the College Board.
Choose Your Course
Browse our course catalog and pick the one that best fits your child’s grade level and interests—from middle school tech apps to AP computer science. Each course is priced individually and fits comfortably within your $2,000 TEFA budget.
Purchase Through Odyssey
All TEFA purchases are made through the Odyssey marketplace. Log in with your TEFA account, search for CodeHS, select your course, and complete the purchase using your TEFA funds. No credit card needed—it comes directly from your TEFA balance.
Start Learning
After your purchase is confirmed, your child can log in to CodeHS and begin their course with interactive video lessons, hands-on coding exercises, and real-world projects—all at their own pace.
