  • Programming Introduction

    Students learn foundational programming concepts like sequences, events, and animation through a story-driven unit featuring Scout the Squirrel.

  • Sequences & Events

    Students build interactive programs using events and broadcast messages, exploring animation, storytelling, and pair programming.

  • Loops

    Students learn how loops create efficient, repeatable programs and apply them to animations and debugging.

  • Conditionals

    Students learn to use conditional logic to make programs respond to different criteria and interactive input.

  • Variables & Lists

    Students learn to store and manipulate data using variables, comparison operators, and lists.

  • Functions

    Students learn to create and use functions to simplify and organize their programs.

  • Culmination Project

    Students combine everything they've learned to design a complete interactive digital pet project.

  • Digital Literacy

    Students build digital citizenship skills including cybersecurity, online safety, research strategies, and the ethical use of AI.
