The Hawaii EXS0100 Intro to Computer Science A and EXS0110 Intro to Computer Science B courses are aligned to the CSTA 2 standards Hawaii has adopted. This course introduces the basics of programming in Python, internet safety, physical computing, and cryptography.

It is written against the CSTA 2 standards, which Hawaii has adopted.
They are two halves of one middle school sequence. This one, EXS0100, covers programming in Python, internet safety, physical computing and cryptography. EXS0110 covers web design, internet safety, and how information is represented digitally and sent over the internet. Both run about 90 hours as semester courses.
Python, through Turtle Graphics, Karel the Dog, and micro:bit commands.
For part of it. Three units use the micro:bit, which is the physical computing the description refers to. The rest of the course runs in the browser. If students do not have access to a micro:bit device, they can visit the online simulator linked in each activity.
