Iowa families with a Students First ESA may be able to use their education funds for CodeHS computer science courses through the Odyssey platform. The program is universal as of 2025–26.

Iowa's Students First ESA program uses the Odyssey platform—the same marketplace used by the Texas TEFA program. This means the purchasing flow should be familiar to families who have used Odyssey before.

CodeHS is working to become an approved vendor on Odyssey for Iowa ESA families. We will update this page as our approval status progresses.

Apply through the Iowa Students First ESA program. The program is universal as of 2025–26, meaning all Iowa students are eligible.

Once approved, browse the Odyssey marketplace to find approved educational products and services.

Purchase CodeHS Courses

Once CodeHS is listed on Odyssey for Iowa, find our courses in the marketplace and purchase directly using your ESA funds.

Start Learning

After purchase, your child receives access to self-paced CodeHS courses and can begin learning immediately.
