Florida families with FES-EO, FES-UA, or PEP scholarships may be able to use their education funds to access CodeHS computer science courses. Florida has the largest ESA market in the country.

Programs: Family Empowerment Scholarship (FES-EO), FES Unique Abilities (FES-UA), Personalized Education Program (PEP)

Platform: Step Up For Students / EMA

Approximate Award: $8,000 (FES-EO); ~$10,000 (FES-UA)

Eligibility: Income-based (FES-EO), disability-based (FES-UA), or personalized learning (PEP)

Florida offers several education scholarship programs that provide families with funds for approved educational expenses. The programs are administered through Step Up For Students, and families manage their funds via the EMA platform.

Apply for a Florida education scholarship through Step Up For Students. Eligibility varies by program.

Access the EMA Platform

Once approved, use the EMA platform to browse approved vendors and manage your scholarship funds.

Request CodeHS

Once CodeHS is an approved provider, you can submit a purchase request through the EMA platform using your scholarship balance.

Start Learning

After your purchase is approved, your child receives access to self-paced CodeHS courses and can start learning immediately.
