Overview of PD Events

Coding Bootcamps

Bootcamps are a combination of weekly (mostly optional) meetings and online course work.The approximate time commitment is 3-4 hours per week. After the bootcamp, teachers can continue working through a corresponding online PD course.

2 Hour Virtual Workshops

Workshops help educators level up their coding skills and understanding to teach specific courses.Each workshop is designed to equip teachers with the necessary tools and resources needed to bringthe discussed content to the classroom.

Praxis CS Exam (5652) Prep Course

The Praxis CS exam prep course is a 14-week cohort model where teachers work through the course simultaneously via the CodeHS platform. The course includes live lessons, Q&As, 1:1 support, & networking.

Computer Science Teaching Methods Course

This self-paced, online course explores computer science as a discipline. This 50-hour course focuses on pedagogical theory, effective teaching methods, and instructional strategies to support the teaching of computer science in a variety of settings.
