Background
In this project, students will delve into the world of data visualization by creating a comprehensive data dashboard using Google Sheets. The project covers everything from the basics of what a data dashboard is to gathering data, preparing it, and designing the dashboard layout. Students will have the freedom to choose a theme or focus area for their dashboard, allowing them to explore a topic that interests them.
Your Task
The project kicks off with an introduction to data dashboards and progresses through various stages, including selecting a theme and gathering relevant data. Students will then prepare this data for visualization and learn important design tips to make their dashboard user-friendly and informative. After a design brainstorming and prototype phase, they will build their dashboard in Google Sheets, employing its various features to create charts, graphs, and tables that provide valuable insights into their chosen theme or topic. This project offers hands-on experience in data manipulation and visualization, culminating in a functional dashboard that can be used for real-world analysis.
