Project Description
A policy document establishes rules and expectations for individuals in a community. In this project, students will work independently or in a small group to draft a policy for AI use within their class.
To begin the project, students learn about various AI tools that can be used for educational purposes. Then, they explore the ethics around using AI in the classroom through analyzing different scenarios and considering how the use of AI benefits or limits student learning in each use case.
In the next phase of the project, students draft a policy for AI use in the class. They go through a round of peer feedback, and then create a final draft and presentation that outlines their policy. Students present their policy to the class, and then the class votes on a policy to adopt.
