Create the ground by making a plane that is 10 by 10. Make the ground brown. Put the plane at position 0 0 0.

When you first create the plane, you may find you cannot see it. Back up using ‘S’. You should be able to see an upright rectangle.

In order to make it ground, we have to rotate it. Add the rotation attribute to the plane. Set it to -90 0 0. This says we want the plane to rotate 90 degrees backwards about the x-axis, which will make it lay flat.
