Does AI Know How to Code?

In this project, students will evaluate the programming skills of a large language model AI. They will encourage an AI to develop programs in multiple languages and run them on CodeHS to see if the programs are successful. Note: Students will need access to a large-language model AI, such as ChatGPT or Google's Gemini, for this project.

Project Description

Overview

In this project, you will evaluate the question “Does AI Know How to Code?” by communicating with a large language model AI and asking it to provide code written in different programming languages. Don’t worry if you don’t know all of the programming languages the AI will use to write programs- you most likely will not! Simply follow the directions in each activity to get code from the AI and run it in the CodeHS editor to see what it can do!
