🍎 CodeHS Back to School Guide

Welcome back to school! Check out the Back to School Guide to help you get set up and prepared for a year of teaching with CodeHS. This guide includes recently updated Week Zero Lesson Plans and many other similar resources to help make sure you’re ready for your first day and the year ahead.

💻 New CodeHS AP CSA Course & Resources

The redesigned CodeHS AP Computer Science A (Cortado) course is available and endorsed by the College Board for 2025–26. Fully aligned to the new AP CSA framework, Cortado features interactive lessons, structured PRIMM-based explorations, and embedded AP-style midterm and final assessments in every module. Updates include new topics like text file input/output, removal of inheritance, and a complete refresh of activities to deepen understanding and engagement. Teachers also have access to additional support resources, like:

New College Board labs
Java certification practice

We’ll share updates as more resources are added. We have also upgraded the default version of Java in the IDE and Sandbox to 21.05. Learn more here.
