🎃 Seasonal Projects

Check out the growing list of projects in the Project Catalog! Whether used as extra practice, a mid-year check, a fun pause from the content before the holiday break, or a way to explore new concepts, these projects will surely be a welcome change for your students at the end of the semester.

If you’re unsure about where to start, we recommend the following seasonal projects:

📝 New: PCEP™ Certification Prep

The Certified Entry-Level Python Programmer, or PCEP™, exam gives students the opportunity to prove their understanding of foundational computer science knowledge and Python syntax. Our new PCEP™ Certification Prep course is a one-semester course that introduces students to fundamental computer science concepts using Python and prepares them to take the PCEP™ exam. Additionally, a new supplemental module has been added to our Introduction to Python Programming course, with new and updated lessons that can be brought into your section to cover all PCEP™ material.

🐍 Python Library Spotlight: matplotlib

Create visualizations in Python with matplotlib! The matplotlib library can help you produce high-quality, customizable figures, and it supports many plot types, making it simple to generate visual representations for many data types.

You can explore this example program or make your own in the CodeHS sandbox by selecting ‘Python 3 Data Science (Graphics)’ as the program type.
