Tanglin Trust School in Singapore Hosts “The Computing Games”!
Last week, Tanglin Trust school hosted a computer science competition called “The Computing Games.” Teachers John Mack and David Fourie, who we have been lucky to work with for the past couple of years, organized the event and we’re excited to share their success here!
The Computing Games was Singapore’s first inter-school computer science competition. Nearly 100 students competed from 9 schools in Singapore and Malaysia. The competition was made up of four events testing students in different disciplines involved with the field of computer science programming, hardware, logic and game development.
Along with the fantastic attendance, 4 multinational companies — CodeHS, Google, HP, and Dell — supported the event. John and David also partnered with local and international universities including James Cook University, National University Singapore, DigiPen and Staffordshire University to hose the event.
Through these partners, The Computing Games participants competed for $2,000 worth of prizes including game consoles, site visits, and vouchers. Check out more pictures of the event below!
