Computer Science Education Week is a time to celebrate the power of computer science and inspire the next generation of leaders. To celebrate CSEdWeek this year, the CodeHS team visited over 175 schools across the country to bring coding to life for thousands of students and educators.
Why We Visit Schools for CSEdWeek
CSEdWeek is the perfect opportunity to showcase how coding can unlock creativity, problem-solving, and career opportunities. Visiting schools across the country helps make computer science accessible, exciting, and empowering—no matter where students are located.
From bustling urban schools to rural classrooms, our team met so many amazing educators and students. Each visit was a unique experience, but they all shared the same enthusiasm for learning computer science.
Hour of Code, Career Presentations, & Classroom Visits
During CSEdWeek, members of the CodeHS team lead a variety of Hour of Code activities like our Generating Beats with Code activity or our Graphics with Tracy the Turtle activity. Team members also gave presentations on future careers students could use their coding skills in, providing real-world connections for students.
We also had the chance to observe computer science lessons in many classrooms to gauge how teachers are using CodeHS in their classrooms. Seeing how teachers are using the platform firsthand was inspiring and gave us the chance to gather feedback from teachers.

Looking Ahead & Making an Impact Together
This year’s CSEdWeek was one for the books, but the journey doesn’t stop here. We’re committed to continuing our mission to bring computer science education to every student, everywhere. To everyone who hosted us, participated in CodeHS Hour of Codes, or shared your stories—thank you! You made this CSEdWeek unforgettable.
