CodeHS launches a new computer science course 100% aligned with the Indiana state standards and designed to fulfill the state’s upcoming computer science requirement for the 2025-26 school year.
Indiana Code (IC) 20-30-5-23 requires all Indiana public and charter high schools to offer at least one (1) computer science course starting in the 2025-26 school year. With this upcoming requirement, CodeHS has released a fully aligned course–Indiana Computing Foundation for a Digital Age.
The (4565) Indiana Computing Foundations for a Digital Age Course is specifically designed to fulfill the state’s upcoming requirement. This course introduces students to five major topics within computer science, including computing systems, networks and the internet, data and analysis, algorithms and planning, and impacts of computing. Students learn foundational computing concepts while exploring current events and building critical thinking, collaboration, problem-solving, and other important skills that are invaluable for life in a global and technologically advancing society.
