⏰ Course Pacing: Where Students Should Be

Depending on your school year’s start date, you should now be moving past the Karel units and on to Units 3 and 4. As a reminder, you can find an estimate for how long each unit should take in our course syllabus.

Keep in mind that these are only estimates and some classes will move a little faster or slower through some of the units. If you are finding yourself running a little behind, consider skipping one or more of the practice Performance Tasks in Unit 2.

📅 Sign up for AP Classroom & Register for the Exam

While no urgent deadlines are looming, it is a good time to start getting things moving with the College Board!

The student registration timeline is similar to last year. To avoid late registration fees, students need to register to take the exam by Friday, November 14th.

You can sign up for AP Classroom and access AP tools and resources here.

🍁 Seasonal Projects in the Project Catalog

The project catalog is a curated list of projects, ranging from quick beginner activities that take about an hour or less to complete to more advanced projects that may span several weeks. We have many projects your students will find exciting for the month of October, including projects about Hispanic Heritage Month, Changing Leaves, and Halloween.

This is also a great place for students to get ideas and practice for the AP Exam Create Task!
