Introducing the CodeHS Career Center
For students to explore areas of interest, research potential careers, and discover creative computer science careers.
Looking for new ways to encourage students to explore a career in computer science? Check out the CodeHS Career Center! This new resource was created to present students with examples of traditional and non-traditional career paths in computer science.
“Many of the top jobs in America involve computer science to some extent. Twice as many Americans use computing in their jobs than previously reported, and half of those are in nonSTEM fields, such as fashion, banking, or agriculture.” (Source: 2022 State of CS Report)
In the CodeHS Career Center, students can browse more than 20 industries like transportation, art, sports, game design, healthcare, and more. We created these industries with a variety of students in mind, deliberately considering routes that might appeal to a wide array of learners.
What’s included in the CodeHS Career Center?
- An overview of how computer science is used in each industry
- Featured blogs that showcase stories about professionals in the field
- Career lessons to promote student exploration into areas of interest — Students can explore these lessons on their own or teachers can assign these lessons to their CodeHS sections.
