Through a partnership with the Nebraska Department of Education, CodeHS is offering free professional development—both virtual and in-person—for K-12 computer science and technology teachers across the state.
These PD opportunities are part of a statewide initiative to support the Computer Science and Technology Education Act, which now requires all Nebraska students to complete a computer science course in order to graduate. To help schools meet this requirement, the state established the Computer Science and Technology Education Fund, ensuring that educators like you have access to the training and tools you need.
This initiative aims to expand access to high-quality computer science education by providing hands-on workshops—especially for teachers in rural and underserved communities. Whether you’re just starting or looking to enhance your teaching practice, there’s a PD opportunity for you.
Types of Professional Development
Nebraska K-12 educators can now register for a wide range of PD opportunities, including in-person and virtual workshops, coding bootcamps, and online courses. New events will continue to be added throughout summer 2025 and into the 2025–2026 school year.
