CodeHS 2018 CSforAll Summit Commitments Update — All Projects Have Launched!
At the 2018 CSforAll Summit, the CodeHS team made this commitment and announcement:
CodeHS will build out new curriculum units to let students explore computer science across subjects, including coding and music, art, sports, math, and physics, and host professional development sessions around the country for over 100 teachers, and help teachers receive graduate credit for CodeHS PD courses.
Less than a year later everything we had planned has been completed and much more. Get the full scoop below.
1. Interdisciplinary Computer Science Mini-Courses

- Coding Explorations in Art
- Coding Explorations in Sports
- Punnett Square Generator
- Exploring Collisions in Physics
- JavaScript with Physics: Bouncing Ball Simulation

2. Free Summer PD Workshops
From June — August 2019, CodeHS hosted 14 free in-person development workshops in 13 different states. Over 500 teachers attended and learned how to prepare for the upcoming school year with CodeHS. Topics included

- Managing sections
- Teaching in a blended classroom
- Pacing and grading tools
- Debugging strategies and more
3. Graduate Credit Opportunity
Through our newest partnership with St. Catherine University (St. Kate’s) teachers who complete an approved CodeHS professional development course can earn university graduate credit.
