⏰ Course Pacing: Where Students Should Be

At this point in the year, you should be around Unit 5 or 6, Functions and Parameters, or Practice PT: Tell a Story. As a reminder, you can find an estimate for how long each unit should take in our course syllabus.

Keep in mind that these are only estimates and some classes will move a little faster or slower through some of the units. If you are a little behind, consider skipping one or more of the practice Performance Task units.

🚨 Sign Up for AP Classroom & Register for the Exam

While no urgent deadlines are looming, it is a good time to start getting things moving with the College Board!

November 15, 2024 - Student Registration Deadline
The student registration timeline is similar to last year. To avoid late registration fees, students need to register to take the exam by November 15th.

January 31, 2025 - Submit Your Syllabus
Even though you have until January 31, 2025 to submit your syllabus, we recommend getting this in as soon as possible.

Getting this in allows you to have access (or keep access) to the AP Classroom. All four CodeHS AP CSP course syllabi can be found on the Endorsed Provider page in the AP Audit portion of the College Board Website.

🎨 Project of the Month: Thanksgiving Pies

In these projects, students create a program that creates a vote count of Thanksgiving pies. They will use functions, loops, and if-else statements.
