⏰ Course Pacing: Where Students Should Be
Happy Holidays! At this point in the year, you should be around Unit 7 or 8, our Basic Data Structures or Digital Information units. As a reminder, you can find an estimate for how long each unit should take in our course syllabus.
If you are running a little behind, two places that you may consider cutting out to catch up are the Practice PT: Tell a Story and Practice PT: Steganography modules. While the Practice PT tasks are an important part of preparing students for the AP test, there are many opportunities for practice. Keep in mind that you can also come back to these modules later in the year if time permits.

🎁 Project of the Month: Holiday Wrapping Paper Projects
The holidays are quickly approaching and you realize you may have made a mistake volunteering to wrap ALL the holiday presents at your local mall. With only a few days to spare, your boss sent you a list of the dimensions for all the remaining packages to wrap and asked you how much more wrapping paper to order.
In this project, students will use conditional and string commands to help calculate the wrapping paper needed to wrap holiday presents. Students will use user input, loops, and conditional statements.
💡 Teacher Tip: Mapping Course Standards
If you are ever wondering what standards a lesson covers, you can check our standards mapping where we list each of the AP CSP standards and the primary lessons they are covered in.
