Karel Con 2019 — One For The Books
A fun-filled day with passionate computer science teachers from around California
On Saturday, April 13th computer science teachers from 13 school districts around California met in San Francisco for Karel Con 2019, the 2nd annual CodeHS teacher conference. It was a day full of great discussions, workshops, networking with other CS teachers!
Karel Con 2019 Workshops
During the conference, teachers had the opportunity to join 5 workshops, 2 of which were hosted by computer science teachers from the area, on the following topics:
- Cultivating a Community of Computer Science Learners → Hosted by Andrew Johnson, a CS teacher from James C. Enochs High School in Modesto
- How to Effectively Manage a Computer Science Class → Hosted by Sean Raser, a CS teacher from California High School in San Ramon
- Diving into the CodeHS Curriculum → Hosted by Evelyn Hunter, CodeHS Curriculum Lead
- CodeHS Teacher Tools & Tips → Hosted by Erin Grady, CodeHS Director of Customer Success
- NEW CodeHS LMS Support → Hosted by John Kelly, CodeHS Engineering Lead
