The update to foundational programming courses is made with the intention to help students program in a language they feel most comfortable with. Updated courses will include Spanish documents, slides, lessons and video content, however, the syntax in the exercises will remain in English in order to align with industry standards.
The CodeHS mission is to empower all students to meaningfully impact the future. We believe that in the 21st century, coding is a foundational skill, and regardless of language barriers, every student deserves access to top-quality education. By offering K-12 curriculum in Spanish, CodeHS hopes to bridge the gap for English Language Learners and continue to encourage students about the importance of coding in our technology-driven world.
