### New South Carolina Web Design and Development Course on CodeHS

#### CodeHS has launched a new SC Web Page Design and Development course & is hosting a workshop at CSTA South Carolina PD Week.

### NEW South Carolina Fundamentals of Web Page Design and Development Course

This new course combines our web design and web development courses and provides **100% coverage for the South Carolina Fundamentals of Web Page Design and Development standards.**

In order to fully meet SC state standards, a few new areas are covered:

- The first module covers lessons on school and workplace safety and includes a lesson that reviews 30 essential workplace skills.
- The second module adds activities on viewing websites in different browsers and a project researching e-commerce.

This course is for high school students and assumes a basic understanding of JavaScript, but a supplemental JavaScript Bootcamp module is included. You can view a full Course Overview and Standards Alignment [here](https://codehs.com/course/20498/overview).

At this workshop, participants will build upon their basic Python knowledge and level up their Python coding skills to be able to teach more intermediate topics to students.

Participants will learn how to:

- Customize Python coding lessons for differentiating and scaffolding
- Monitor student progress
- Teach a blended or virtual intermediate Python course
