Providing Nebraska K-12 CS Teachers Free Professional Development
Through a partnership with the Nebraska Department of Education, CodeHS is proud to have trained 327 K-12 computer science and technology educators across the state of Nebraska.
Nebraska is a leader in expanding access to high-quality computer science education. The state is investing in its teachers to expand access to high-quality computer science education for students. In 2025, CodeHS partnered with the Nebraska Department of Education on a statewide initiative to help teachers improve their computer science teaching practice. Through a state grant that made professional development free for K-12 teachers, CodeHS trained 327 educators across all 25 Educational Service Units in Nebraska.
"Thank you for providing high-quality materials that have allowed me to gain new skills that can benefit my computer science students, and that I can share with other teachers to further their classroom capabilities and provide even more learning opportunities for our students."

CodeHS was selected for this partnership based on our deep expertise in computer science education and our ability to design a program that met the DOE's specific needs. Through a mix of in-person and virtual events, we were able to bring high-quality professional development to teachers across Nebraska. Each teacher trained brings actionable skills directly into their classrooms, collectively reaching thousands of Nebraska students. The Professional Development focuses included Pedagogy, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science Content, Interdisciplinary, and Getting Started Teaching CS.
“I have really enjoyed the PD offerings from CodeHS. This is some of the best CS training I have had in my 6 years teaching the content area. Thank you to everyone involved in making this program accessible to Nebraska teachers!”
