CodeHS Certifications will provide a jumpstart for students as they navigate future career opportunities. Students can add certifications to their resume or college application verifying that they have developed industry-relevant programming skills, giving them a competitive advantage early on.

Administrators will have full insight into how student learning is translated into applicable skills. The secure and rigorous exam will verify that students understand the fundamental concepts of an industry-relevant programming language, strengthening a school’s computer science program with quantitative data.

Certifications Journey

We recommend that students complete a CodeHS course prior to taking a certification exam, ensuring they are prepared with additional practice. For the 2019–2020 school year, the certification exams can be taken at home after students receive a voucher code from their teacher. Voucher codes will be the key to accessing the exam, where a secure format will be in place with anti-cheating methods. Once students pass the exam, they will receive a congratulatory email including a digital copy of their certificate. They’ll be ready to share their verified programming skills with the world!
