CodeHS launches the complete Cybersecurity Ecosystem for Schools
CodeHS releases an AP Cybersecurity course, the Cyber Range, and a new Teaching Cohort, combining everything teachers need to bring real security skills into the classroom.
We’re expanding our cybersecurity offerings to better support teachers and students. The new AP Cybersecurity course, developed through College Board’s AP Career Kickstart program, gives students a structured path to develop real cybersecurity skills. The CodeHS Cyber Range lets students put their skills to the test through hands-on CTF-style challenges in a real lab environment. To further support our teachers, we have a new AP Cybersecurity Teaching Cohort and free Summer/Fall webinars, bringing everything you need to teach cybersecurity with confidence.
📚 AP Cybersecurity
The new CodeHS AP Cybersecurity course is now live. AP Cybersecurity is a year-long high school course that introduces students to cybersecurity and aligns with an introductory college-level course. Students learn about threats, vulnerabilities, risk, and defense-in-depth strategies across physical, digital, and data-focused domains. This course is fully aligned to the new AP Career Kickstart Cybersecurity course.
💻 CodeHS Cyber Range
The CodeHS Cyber Range is a brand-new platform where students tackle guided challenges, use real Linux commands, and explore cybersecurity topics in a secure, structured sandbox environment, from cryptography to web security to networking and more. The Cyber Range is an add-on to Pro that provides hands-on practice aligned to the AP Cybersecurity standards.
🏫 Teaching Cohort: AP Cybersecurity
In addition to the new course, we are also offering an
AP Cybersecurity PD teaching cohort designed to support teachers as they implement and teach the course with confidence. Available as an additional purchase, we recommend teachers join the cohort, as it is a great resource and community for navigating the course’s challenging content.
The cohort begins July 27th.
