## **JavaScript Question of the Day**

The [**JavaScript Question of the Day**](https://codehs.intercom-mail.com/via/e?ob=cZysTjkSZ%2BnPTarv3rWOX8U1UbmTsHE0uaLf%2F3ipt84%3D&h=4fa02cd08d708f809ff13a7b584fcf439da130f8-x13jbr4h_preview101940250) (QOTD) is a daily question created by the CodeHS team to help review concepts for Intro to Computer Science in Javascript. The questions run throughout the school year and build from basic concepts covered in the beginning of the course to more advanced concepts as the year progresses. This is a great way to start or end each class period!

## **Additional Karel Supplemental Activities**

If you're teaching with any of our 1-year introduction to JavaScript courses, and are looking for additional support or practice in our Karel module, be sure to check out the [**Practice: Karel module**](https://codehs.intercom-mail.com/via/e?ob=koOMVm3XBM1mDAHz%2BQLfVlUW13kisyNkWf2aYfsjfOHWhRsFl7FHbbi%2F5IWYkNYq&h=5e4642f9af5a6fd925e392b7732ff7b8cad2d2ce-x13jbr4h_preview101940250). This module can be found in your course's Supplement, and is a great resource in helping students learn how to program with Karel. Two specifics lessons in this module to call out:

- Karel Syntax, IDE, and Commands - is designed for students who need additional help with syntax programming and navigating our IDE.

- Debugging with Karel - offers videos, activities, and reflection questions that provide extra resources and practice in debugging.


These activities can be assigned individually based on the current topic students are studying—just remember to review the starter code before assigning.

## **New Feature: Student Groups**

Student Groups give teachers a flexible way to organize students within a section into learning groups. Teachers can create, rename, and manage groups, add or remove students, and view group details all in one place. Once groups are set up, teachers can filter by group across key tools like the Gradebook, Progress, Code Review, Quiz Scores, and more. This new feature is a CodeHS Pro Tool.
