Students were also more likely to earn top scores, with 44% earning a 4 or 5 compared to 33% nationwide. ## AP Computer Science Principles (AP CSP) Performance Overview Among the 44 AP CSP teachers who shared their scores, **74% of their students earned a 3 or higher, compared to a national pass rate of 63%, and up from the 67% pass rate CodeHS teachers reported last year**. Their students also earned top scores more often, with 44% receiving a 4 or 5 compared to 33% nationally, and 17% earning a 5 compared to 10% nationally. Even first-year AP CSP teachers reported above-national-average results. Nearly a third of these teachers were in their first year teaching AP Computer Science, and their students passed at 67% compared to 63% nationally. Only 10% of reported CodeHS students received a 1, compared to 16% of students nationwide. ## AP Computer Science A (AP CSA) Performance Overview 33 AP CSA teachers shared their scores. 66% of their students earned a 3 or higher, matching the national pass rate of 66%, and 51% scored a 4 or 5, also matching the national rate. Three cohort teachers have shared scores so far, 82% of their students earned a 3 or higher and nearly two-thirds earned a 4 or 5. “Being in the cohort really helped, and I am very pleased with the results,” said one cohort teacher. ## What Teachers Told Us > "Great course content, does a great job preparing them for the AP exam and Create Task." > "I only used CodeHS and AP Classroom materials throughout the year.
